Killer cop Wayne Couzens has been struck down with Covid-19 in prison.
Couzens, who was a serving Met Police officer when he killed Sarah Everard, is said to be 'seriously ill' and has been placed in isolation in his cell.
A source told the The Sun: “People have been talking about karma, but it looks like he will be OK.
"He’s been suffering quite badly with it though after coming down with symptoms and has been told to isolate in his cell.
"He is having food and drink left outside, and can’t see anyone at all.
"There is not a lot of sympathy for him though, given his former job and what he did with the fake Covid arrest.
"The outbreak has caused a lockdown on his wing, which at least means he is safe from other prisoners."
Couzens, a married father of two from Deal, kidnapped marketing executive Ms Everard, 33, on the night of March 3 last year in Clapham, south London and took her to Dover.
He had made a bogus arrest, claiming he was taking her in for breaching Covid rules during a period of full national lockdown.
He changed from a hire car to his own vehicle in Dover and drove her to a rural area near the town where he raped and strangled her.
Police arrested Couzens at his home in Freemen’s Way, Deal, on March 9.
Ms Everard’s burnt remains were found in woodland near Great Chart, Ashford, on March 10.
Couzens, 49, admitted to her kidnap, rape and murder and was given a whole life sentence in September.
During his career, he had worked at the Metropolitan Police, Civil Nuclear Constabulary, and Kent Police.
An inquiry is now looking into whether any “red flags were missed” earlier in his career.
He also worked at a family owned garage in Dover.
He is being held at tough HMP Frankland, County Durham, alongside other killers including Levi Bellfield and Ian Huntley.
