DETECTIVES are hunting a sex attacker who assaulted a 22-year-old woman in a dark alleyway.

Police say the victim has provided a lot of useful information to police about the man.

The alley where the incident took place runs from London Road, Deal, almost opposite Milestone Road, to Manor Road, taking a route between back gardens.

The attacker is described as white, aged 18 to 21, 5ft 7in to 5ft 9in tall, of slim build with fair or light brown hair combed forward. He was wearing blue jeans and blue trainers.

Det Insp Steve Bridges said: “This appears to be an isolated incident and I would like to reassure people in Deal that this type of offence is very uncommon.”

Police spokesman Jon Green said the woman was recovering from her ordeal which occurred between 1am and 2am on Sunday.
