Goalkeeper Lee Hook has agreed to take a pay-cut and sign a new
one-year contract with Dover Athletic.
Hook (pictured) was understudy to Ross Flitney last season and
Whites boss Martin Hayes praised the keeeper for his attitude.
Hayes told the Dover website: "Lee wants to stay here and took a sizeable wage cut too. He wants to challenge Ross for that number one position and is keen to be part of what we want to build here.
"His attitude since I arrived at the club has been first-class.
He has never moaned, just got on with training, working hard and
showing me he wants to be a Dover player. We need two decent
keepers and now have that."
Sam Cutler, Harry Baker, Donovan Simmonds and Barry Cogan have
also signed new contracts.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have agreed to send a side to Dover for a
pre-season friendly on August 4.
Andy Hessenthaler will make his first retrurn to Crabble since
leaving last summer when the Gillingham visit on July 19.
Other friendlies have been arranged against Hastings (July 12)
and Ostend (July 30)
