Dover threw away a two goal lead before slumping to a 6-2 defeat at Lewes in Blue Square South on Boxing Day.
Whites took the lead in the second minute when Dean Hill scored at the near post from a James Rogers cross.
Frannie Collin (pictured) doubled the advantage in the 13 minute as Dover looked well in control of the game.
But things then started to go wrong for the visitors as Joe Keehan pulled a goal back with a half-volley in the 18 minute.
Steve Brinkhurst volleyed a 33 minute equaliser, before Ollie Schulz scored an own goal to give the home side a half-time lead.
Keehan netted two early goals in the second half and Dave Wheeler wrapped up the scoring with the sixth four minute before the end.
