A new teaser advert has been aired for Liar 2 as it's revealed the series could begin in a matter of weeks.
The hit ITV drama which was partly filmed in Deal and Kingsdown is whetting the appetite of viewers with a 10-second clip.
The cliffhanger ending to the first series, aired in 2017, showed Andrew Earlham, played by Ioan Gruffudd, lying dead in the marshes.
Viewers had just learned that teacher Laura Nielson, played by Joanne Froggatt, had been telling the truth about rapist Earlham. She is likely to be the prime suspect.
But the new trailer reveals who else could be in the frame, with many others also having a vendetta against the high flying surgeon.
Laura's voice can be yelling shouting behind the clip: "There's a long list of people who had reason to kill him. I did not murder Andrew Earlham."
While no air date is confirmed, an ITV spokesman said: "We are currently working towards an early March transmission."
The second series will consist of six hour-long episodes, picking up three weeks after an arrest warrant was issued for Andrew Earlham for the sexual assault of 19 women.
A huge 9.1m viewers tuned in making it ITV’s highest rated new drama of the year.
Producers confirmed they would return to Deal to film a second series the day after the final episode of the first series in October 2017.
Camera crews were spotted in north Deal in December 2018 and again in Kingsdown - including inside The Zetland Arms pub - in April 2019.
The popular seafront establishment closed for the day to allow filming to take place.
Final scenes were shot in June 2019 along The Marina.
Presenter Alison Hammond was also spotted at the site. Crew told our reporter she had filmed an interview with the stars which will be aired on This Morning.
Parts of the first series were also filmed in Deal and Kingsdown during November 2016 and January 2017, with the town featuring in all six episodes.
Production teams had taken over two houses in the town during shooting, one towards the north end of The Marina, which is the home of Laura Nielson played by Froggatt and the other in Wellington Parade in Kingsdown, the home of her sister.
The town’s pier featured as a prominent backdrop, with other scenes capturing Jasin’s Restaurant now Deal Pier Kitchen, Deal Beach Parlour and the Hope & Lane cafe in the High Street opposite St George’s Church.
