A man has been arrested on suspicion of child grooming following a sting by an online paedophile detection group.

The 30-year-old was taken into custody after police were called to Stanley Road, Deal, shortly before 11am today.

He had been confronted on camera by a group calling themselves Kent Guardians UK.

In a 20-minute video which ended with the man being taken away in a police car, they gave details of the allegations that led to his arrest.

The man remains in police custody.
