A 52-year-old man from Deal arrested on suspicion of assault has been charged with four offences.

Stephen Taylor, of Orchard Avenue, has been charged with assaulting a woman in Mill Road, Deal, in the early hours of Sunday 4 September, and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence under Section 62 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 in Mill Road in the early hours of Sunday 4 September.

He has also been charged with stalking another woman in the seafront area of Deal, between September 3 and 4, and committing an offence with intent to commit a sexual offence under Section 62 of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 in the seafront area of Deal between 3 and 4 September.

Taylor appeared at Medway Magistrates’ Court by virtual court on Monday 5 September and was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on Tuesday 4 October.
