A man has died after being hit by a train.
Emergency services were called to a stretch of railway line near Deal shortly after 7.30am, following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
British Transport Police rushed to Dover Road, in Ringwould, along with the fire service and paramedics.
But a man aged in his 40s was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A BTP spokesman said: "This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A photo taken at the scene shows at least two ambulances, a fire engine, and several police cars in attendance this morning.
Trains were halted between Ramsgate and Dover Priory while emergency services dealt with the incident, and replacement buses were in operation.
Southeastern says the line has now reopened, with the first trains due to run at about 10.30am.
