A man has been found hanged inside a lighthouse at the end of a Dover pier.
Police were called to the Prince of Wales Pier at 12.20pm on Tuesday, May 12. The man, aged 35, from Rochdale, was pronounced dead at the scene. The lighthouse door is normally padlocked.
Police closed off the end of the pier for several days while they carried out an investigation. A police spokesman said they were not treating the death as suspicious.
An inquest was opened on Wednesday.
