A young man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the early hours of the morning.
The attack took place in South Street, Deal, just before 2.30am.
Officers say two men had a "confrontation" close to the junction with Middle Street that resulted in one, who is in his 20s, being stabbed.
He was admitted to a local hospital for treatment, but has since been discharged.
A police spokesman said: "It was reported that two men had a confrontation in the street resulting in one, aged in his 20s, suffering injuries consistent with being stabbed.
"Enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to identify the person responsible are ongoing."
