A man has been treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a house in Dover.

Fire crews were called to Maison Dieu Road at 7.30pm last night following a report that there was a fire in a ground floor kitchen.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus tackled the blaze and the man was treated by fire crews before being handed over to paramedics at the scene.

Police also attended.
