Kent's Mark Belsham produced the best performance of his rookie season on the European Seniors Tour at the weekend.

Belsham, from Deal, won 39,150 Euros after finishing third in the Casa Serena Open in Prague.

The Stonelees Golf Centre professional recorded a seven-under-par total of 206 to finish six shots behind the winner, fellow Englishman Gary Wolstenholme. Scotland’s Gordon Brand jnr was runner-up on 203.

Belsham has moved up to 32nd in the Senior Tour rankings with winnings of 69,974 Euros and has already done enough to secure his Tour Card for 2011.
