Motorcyclist dies in road smash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died after a collision on Tuesday evening at 6.55pm.

The 21-year-old man, who came from the Canterbury area, sustained serious injuries after the collision with a car, close to the St Margaret’s junction on the A258 Deal-Dover road.

He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Queen Mother Hospital in Margate, where he later died.

He has yet to be named.

The driver and other occupants of the car were shaken up, but not seriously injured.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538.
