A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after an accident in Eaton Road, Dover, on Monday.

The accident, which happened just before 3.30pm, also involved a car.

The air ambulance was called and landed in the nearby Dover College playing fields, but was not needed.

The motorcyclist was taken to the William Harvey Hospital at Ashford where he underwent surgery. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A woman in the car was treated for a cut to her head.
