Mystery over silver MG abandoned at Coldblow Woods in Walmer

Police are looking into how a silver MG came to be abandoned at Coldblow Woods in Walmer.

The vehicle, which is mounted on a tree trunk next to the railway crossing, is thought to have been there since before Sunday.

It is missing one of its number plates and has damage to the front passenger side.

Lisa Owen spotted it yesterday morning.

She said: “I came across it while walking my dog. In the morning it had number plates on but by that late afternoon it had been broken into, plates and badges removed.”

A blue jacket and paper work can be seen on the passenger seat through the window.

Exposed wires are also visible.

A spokesman said: “Kent Police was called at 8.50am on August 16 to reports of an abandoned car at Coldblow Woods, Walmer.

“Enquiries are on-going to establish how the vehicle came to be there.”
