Former Met cop and convicted murderer Wayne Couzens emerged from a Kent woodland completely naked and masturbated in front of a female cyclist, a court has heard.
Couzens, 49, is also accused of driving through Dover town centre with the lower half of his body exposed in June 2015.
The former armed protection officer, who used to live in Deal, was already accused of four charges of indecent exposure and now faces another two allegations after being charged with fresh counts on August 19.
He is currently serving a whole life sentence after failing to overturn his conviction for the kidnap, rape and murder of Sarah Everard.
The latest allegations refer to offences which reportedly took place on June 9, 2015, in Dover and on November 13, 2020, in the Deal area when Couzens is said to have exposed himself to a cyclist.
At Westminster Magistrates’ Court today, Couzens, of no fixed address, appeared via videolink from HMP Frankland, to give no indication of guilt to the two charges.
He wore a grey prison tracksuit and spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth.
Prosecutor Jocelyn Ledward said: “A member of the public rang the police providing registration number of a VW Golf, which was registered to the defendant, saying he had just seen someone driving through the centre of Dover with his erect penis exposed. He was so shocked he rang the police.
“The defendant was not spoken to and then there were some difficulties in locating the complainant.
"That may be why it did not progress.
“In November 2020 a lady was cycling along a country road a couple of miles away from the Kent coast.
“Wayne Couzens stepped out of the woodland completely naked and masturbating.
"They are a part of a pattern of offending"
“The suspect could not be traced at the time. It was not until images of Mr Couzens were circulated that she recognised the defendant.”
Ms Ledward asked for the latest charges to be joined with four other charges of exposure in January and February last year, when Couzens is said to have flashed at staff in a McDonald’s drive through in Swanley, Kent.
The prosecutor added: “They are part of a pattern of offending. They are linked because it is effectively the same offence.”
District Judge Tan Ikram remanded Couzens in custody ahead of the next hearing at the Old Bailey in October.
Couzens was formerly based within the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command - an armed unit stationed in Westminster responsible for the protection of sensitive sites such as Downing Street.
