Nicky Forster has revealed he has a hit list of potential new signings but he is waiting to find out how many of his Dover squad return to Crabble before beginning to snap them up.
Whites have been somewhat in limbo this week with the club having extended contract offers to eight players last week and given them a deadline of Friday to sign or leave the club.
Forster, the Dover boss, released seven players last week and has already met with potential new signings, revealing he was just waiting to find out how much room he had to fill.
He said: "I am hoping to tie up boys that we have offered the contracts to this week. I am hopeful that five or six of them will have signed by (last night).
"I’m not sure about a couple of them but hopefully they’ll stay too. I want to carry a squad of 20 or so next season – hopefully three of those will be the youngsters Sean Raggett, Lloyd Harrington and hopefully Tom Axford will sign.
"We’ll also have two goalkeepers and you already see the numbers getting tighter. We already have another four under contract and could have eight players returning.
"If all the players come back, then it means we won’t be looking to bring too many in."
Forster (pictured) added: "I have got a list of players who I want. By next week I will know how many of them I can sign. I am busy meeting players from outside the club. I am keen to sit down with potential signings and talk face to face."
