Dover's port is operating with only slight disruptions despite strong winds battering the coastline.

The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for the entire south coast, warning people of possible localised flooding.

The warning has been put in place until tomorrow, where conditions may improve.

The port of Dover has reported that conditions in the Channel are “are moderate to rough with a South Westerly gale, force 8, and good visibility.”

On its website, the Met Office warns: “Heavy showers, some of them combined with hail and thunder, will continue to affect parts of southern England at times through the rest of Monday, Tuesday and early Wednesday.

“The public should be aware of the risk of further localised flooding, especially in areas which have been affected in recent days.”

P&O Ferries are currently operating 30 minutes behind schedule.

DFDS Seaways however are running a restricted service from Dover to Dunkerque.

The ferry operator tweeted: “Please be reminded that DFDS Dover to Dunkerque service is operating to a reduced schedule due to the planned Dry Dock.”

MyFerryLink services are also running on time.
