Firefighters doused flames as a blaze raged through a the roof of a bungalow near Deal.
Three crews were called to Foremans Close, Tilmanstone, at about 8.10am on Wednesday where they found the detached home well alight with fire spreading.
A spokeswoman for the service said: "Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used main jets, hose reel jets and water from a hydrant to tackle the blaze.
"0One casualty was treated for minor smoke inhalation before being passed into the care of South East Coast Ambulance (SECAMb) paramedics.
"The cause is not yet known."
