Parents of children at a Deal school have been warned after a 10-year-old boy was approached by a man on his way home.
The Warden House pupil, who is in Year 6, was approached and spoken to by the driver of a blue car, yesterday.
No offences were reported but police were made aware.
It is understand the school has now text parents.
The text reads: "Please be aware one of our Year 6 children was approached to enter a blue car yesterday on their walk home from school. Police have been informed."
A spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report in which a 10-year old boy was approached and spoken to by the driver of a car after a near-miss collision in Park Avenue, Deal at around 3.40pm on April 28."
"No offences have been reported. The schoolboy made his way safely home."
KentOnline has approached the school for an official comment.
