Fundraisers in Deal will step up to a challenge today (Sunday), walking from Walmer Castle to The Chequers, and back, in aid of Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
Walkers will set off the gravel pit car park in Walmer at 10.30am in a bid to raise cash and awareness for the charity.
The Stepping Out sponsored walk is organised annually in the town by Breakthrough ambassador Kerry Rubins, who urges everyone to wear pink.
She said: “The impact we make when people see all the pink walkers along the promenade is phenomenal. We get such great feedback.”
At the half way point, walkers will enjoy a buffet courtesy of Chequers Kitchen Restaurant owners Stephanie Hayman and Pieter Van Zyl and a raffle.
Taking part is Deal and Dover MP Charlie Elphicke, deputy mayor of Deal David Cronk, Labour parliamentary candidate for Deal and Dover Clair Hawkins and a representative from the charity.
