Police are appealing for witnesses to an accident near Sandwich Technology School, Deal Road, on Monday.

A boy, aged 11, was taken to the Queen Mother Hospital, Margate, and treated for injuries to his leg.

Police media officer Jon Green said: "It believed he was hit by a car about 3.40pm.

"Anyone who saw the accident is asked to contact the police on 01622 690690." The boy has not been named.
