Police have arrested a man who allegedly smashed a shop window on London Road in Dover.

Officers intervened while on patrol late on Friday night when a 19-year-old caused £700 worth of damage to the Spar store.

Bill McCulloch, of The Street, East Langdon, was subsequently charged with criminal damage.

He was released on bail and is due to attend Folkestone Magistrates Court on March 22.
