Parts of Dover and River were affected by a power cut for more than three hours this afternoon.

Electricity supplies went off just after noon and in the CT16 1, CT16 2 and CT17 0 postcode areas.

UK Power Networks said the fault was in an underground cable and engineers were called out to investigate and repair it.

Power was restored just after 3pm.
