Police were called to a protest outside a town centre bank but said no offences had been committed.
Former Deal town councillor Bryan Henderson and Trevor Mealham from Ashford handed out leaflets in a stand against alleged ‘mis-selling’ by Lloyds Bank.
Officers were called to the demonstration outside the Deal branch at 10am on Monday but took no further action.
Mr Henderson has claimed his endowment policy - a saving scheme attached to his Lloyds mortgage - was cancelled without his knowledge.
He has been given a reference number by the Financial Ombudsman.
Mr Mealham said: “Our message is that victims want redemption from Lloyds. We’re not doing anything wrong.”
Mr Mealham is one of hundreds of customers who claim they are victims of ‘mis-selling’. He says that after taking out a £200,000 loan, Lloyds suddenly upped the interest rate.
His assets were then seized by Lloyds Recoveries when he couldn’t afford the repayments.
A number of parliamentary debates have taken place about the allegations and there are now calls for an investigation by the House of Commons Treasury Committee.
Lloyds Bank has not responded to our request for a comment.
