A coffee morning will be held at Deal Rowing Club to raise much needed funds on Saturday.
Tea, coffee and cake will be served by members at the club house in The Marina from 10am until noon.
Those who go along can also find out more about the sport of rowing and ask about training and competing opportunities there.
Deal is one of the top clubs in the Coast Amateur Rowing Association (CARA) and the season will be launched with a double header in Sussex next weekend, May 18-19.
Rowers travel to Hastings that Saturday before returning to compete at Bexhill the following day on the 19th
This Saturday's coffee morning takes place two months ahead of Deal's own regatta, on Saturday, July 27.
Last year the club staged the South Coast Championships, regarded as the biggest coastal rowing event in the country.
The championships bring together the three rowing associations on the south coast, CARA, the Hants & Dorset RA and the West of England RA.
It was the first time in more than 30 years that Deal had been given the honour of being hosts and they enjoyed a historic success when their ladies' junior fours quartet became the first Deal ladies team to claim a South Coast Championship title.
Entry to the coffee morning costs £2.50.
All are welcome.
