A man in his 40s has suffered neck and back injuries after a crash on the A258 at Ringwould.
The road has now re-opened after it was temporarily closed due to the collision between two cars.
The cars had partially blocked the road near to the village hall.
Emergency services arrived to try and free a man who was trapped in his car.
Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment and worked with paramedics to release the casualty, who sustained minor injuries.
SECAmb confirmed one ambulance and a car attended to treat a man who was suffering from neck and back pain.
He has now been taken to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford.
The police were in attendance to control the traffic flow.
