A man has been airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries in a crash.
Police have been called to the single-vehicle collision on the A258 between Dover and Deal and have shut the road.
A police spokesman said the road remains closed in both directions near Ringwould while investigations are ongoing at the scene.
Paramedic crews as well as the air ambulance also attended the scene at approximately 6.30am.
“A man received treatment at the scene before being airlifted to hospital in London in a serious condition,” a spokesman for the ambulance service said.
Will Iggleden passed the accident at 6.45am and said he could see the black car through the trees and down the bank.
“As I passed there was a black car through the trees and down the bank into the dip on the left hand side approximately half way between the kennels and the gated entrance to Oxney Manor,” he said.
“The car was quite far in so I could not tell what the make or model was.
“The fire engine arrived and just after that we were waved past. As I continued on my way to work I passed multiple more emergency vehicles on route – police, fire, ambulance.
“At the point I passed the incident I did not see any sign of anyone from the car but I hope all involved are ok.”
The fire service has also been contacted for comment.
