A parade of pink will be processing along Deal seafront next week, packed with hundreds of people all wearing a collection of crazy underwear.

The event is the seventh Bra Run organised by Deal Tri to raise cash for Breast Cancer Care.

There is still time to join the event on New Year’s Day or sponsor friends who are taking part.

Race organiser Sally Scoggins said: "Runner, walkers and strollers are very much encouraged to decorate a bra to take part in this event.

"There are even prizes for the best decorated bra and any fancy dress par-takers.

"This event boasts more than 300 competitors taking in the lovely sea views in our lovely seaside town, along the 5k stretch.

"So far the event has raised more than £21,000 for Breast Cancer Care, as competitors are able to gain sponsorship from friends and family for the charity."

All proceeds of the race go to the charity, including all entry fees, and the Bra Run has become a big part of Deal’s calendar.
