Deal Maritime and Local History Museum is on the hunt for new volunteers to help it keep open during the spring and summer months.
The museum, located in St George's Road, is run entirely by unpaid helpers and due to people moving away and some illnesses, it is in urgent need of more assistance.
It is looking for potential stewards to help run it day-to-day and to work with the public, whether they can commit to multiple shifts or spare only a few hours here and there.
Preferable skills include conservation, IT, admin, research, DIY, gardening, housekeeping expertise and an enthusiasm for the town and its rich history.
Spokesman Kathryn Reilly said: "There are exciting new acquisitions and innovations afoot, so this is a great time to join the friendly team.
"If you feel that you could help our treasure-trove of a local museum, please get in touch."
The museum, which opens its doors to the public in April, would welcome interested parties to make contact before mid-March when it holds its steward pre-season meetings.
