The special meeting organised by Deal Town Council will now take place on Thursday, February 18.

The meeting, at Deal Town Hall in High Street starting at 7.15pm, has been called to discuss the campaign to bring the high-speed train to Deal and the future of the public toilets in the town.

It was due to be held on February 11, but was postponed because of the snowy weather.

Deal Mayor Cllr Bill Gardner said: "This will not be a public meeting, but a special meeting. The public can attend as spectators."
