Storm Katie has battered parts of the district with the Port of Dover being forced to closed and some trees have been blown down.
P&O Ferries tweeted that the Eastern Docks closed between 8am and 11am, because of the danger berthing in 70mph winds. Cross channel services are expected to resume at 12.05pm.
Motorists should expect mild disruption at Dover Road Walmer, where a tree has blown down.
A dark car, pictured, was discovered in the adjacent road Downlands, with its window smashed and a long vertical dent along the bonnet.
A close up picture of the tree, shows a dark piece of car debris.
A KCC truck has arrived and is preparing to recover the tree. Police officers are directing traffic, with vehicles having to swerve from the Dover-bound carriageway to avoid it.
Another report has been made that a tree crashed into a car in Upper Deal.
Meanwhile bins have been tossed into roads and rubbish is flying around in the wind, and A boards in the town have been knocked over.
