Police are appealing for witnesses after a 14-year-old girl was assaulted by another girl on a bank by the alley between Tides Leisure Pool and Stockdale Gardens, Deal.

The teenager required hospital treatment after she the attack between 7.45pm and 8pm on Friday, September 17.

Police spokesman Jon Green said: "She was sitting with a couple of friends on a bank.

"A large group of teenagers witnessed the attack. We’re appealing to any of those young people to come forward. There was also a couple of dog walkers who tried to intervene.

"We would like to speak to them especially."
