Firefighters used a turntable ladder to fight a flat fire at the top of a four-storey building in Deal early this morning.
Four crews were called to the scene in South Street shortly before 00.25am and some wore breathing masks to tackle the blaze.
The road was closed while the ladder was extended to reach the fire and a hose reel jet and two main jets used to put out the fire.
The building contains flats and a business and no injuries were reported in the incident which was successfully ended shortly after 3am.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service say the cause of the blaze is not yet known.
