Musician and comedian Richard Digance is coming to Dover in September to give a concert.
It is being organised by DoverLive, a new venture set up by a district councillor and one of the regatta organisers, to bring more live entertainment opportunities to the town.
Cllr John Goodwin and Regatta vice-chairman Gill Gough are holding An Evening with Richard Digance in Dover Town Hall on Saturday September 5 at 7pm.
Richard is the master of nostalgic comedy and came to public attention with a regular turn on Live from Her Majesty’s and the London Palladium Variety Shows and Summertime Specials.
He then had his own television shows A Dabble of Digance and Abracadigance. He has also played with Steve Martin, Robin Williams, Brian May of Queen, Status Quo and Joni Mitchell. He has recently written a book called Footynotes with Chris Kamara and is a regular guest in dictionary corner on Countdown.
Tickets for the show are priced at £15 and £10 and are available by calling either 01304 212277 or 077 655 14078.
Dover schoolgirl singer Louise Orfila (pictured) and Rags to Riches will also be taking part in the show.
