Dover Coastguard co-ordinated the rescue of a lorry driver early on Wednesday, November 18, after he became trapped in his lorry on a cross-Channel passenger ferry from Ramsgate.

The ship was travelling to France in windy and choppy conditions.

The driver called Dover coastguard from his vehicle at 1.50am.

The crew was then contacted and the man freed.
