A Who tribute band are playing on John Entwistle's birthday.
Who Are You appear on Saturday, October 9, the day the original band's bassist would have turned 77.
The concert, at the Astor theatre in Deal, is also during the anniversary period of one of The Who's most successful albums Who's Next.
Entwistle, nicknamed The Ox and Thunderfingers, is best remembered for his melodic, powerful and inventive bass playing. He contributed notable songs to the band such as Boris the Spider and Heaven and Hell.
Entwistle was the quiet man of the group, described as letting his instrument do the talking.
His steadying presence was in direct contrast to the wild stage antics of other members such as guitarist Pete Townshend and drummer Keith Moon who smashed their instruments onstage.
Who's Next was released on August 14, 1971 and includes My Wife by Entwistle, a comedic number about a man on the run from his psychotic spouse.
The album is one of the three most acclaimed by The Who with key numbers from main songwriter Townshend such as Baba O'Riley and the anthemic Won't Get Fooled Again.
Entwistle died in June 2002 from a heart attack, aged 57.
Who Are You are based in Kent and its members are singer Steven Hunt from Sheppey,, bassist Terry Fearn and drummer Brian Whitby from Gravesend and guitarist Mike Wilton from Crowborough in Sussex.
They previously played at the Astor Community Theatre in Stanhope Road in March 2019.
This show, from 7.30pm, is one of a series the band are playing around the country as live music returns with the lifting of pandemic restrictions last month.
Tickets cost £23 or £26 and can be bought via the website theastor.co.uk or by telephoning 01304 370220.
