Deal is now home to Britain’s Best Barber of the Year 2016 after stylist Enver Yesilbulut secured the winning title.
Mr Yesilbulut, known as Efe, of Kings Barbers Male Grooming, was awarded the accolade at the national final at the NEC in Birmingham.
His prize was a huge victory belt and £2,000.
In order to win the competition he demonstrated his creative hair cutting skills including tapering, fading and flat top at the semi-finals of Britain’s Best Barber.
This is an annual competition organised by the British Barbers Association.
Mr Yesilbulut said: “It means the world to me. I want to say thank you to my first boss who taught me everything – Mem Nasifoglu from Mem’s Barbers in London.”
When he was crowned the winner of the competition, he was told that his career would now go through the roof, along with his bookings, so his future is now looking bright.
Mr Yesilbulut has worked as a barber for 15 years and has been running the salon in Deal High Street since August last year.
The day before securing the big win, he also competed in the south east region of Britain’s Best Wet Shave which he also won and secured the top prize.
He has been preparing for both competitions for a long time and was eager to find out the results.
This was his first entry into the prestigious national competition, which saw him pitted against seven other top barbers from across the country.
He added: “I’d like to become better known for what I do, and can’t wait to see where the competition takes me.”
The barber previously worked in the first store of Ted Baker Grooming Room in Central London and for Haks & Oscar who won Best Barber 2015 Central London and Best Barber 2015 Overall London.
