Tea cups will be rattling and cake will be served by the slice at coffee mornings across the district this month, starting today in Deal.
Georgina Bishop’s annual coffee morning is between 11am until 2.30pm today at The Alma pub in West Street, Deal.
So far, Mrs Bishop has raised more then £30,000 by putting on coffee mornings over about 14 years.
The first fundraiser raised £250 and it has grown significantly, held at local pubs with live music.
Last year it raised about £1,800.
Attractions to look out for at the Alma include nail painting by 17-year-old Olivia Dodge, a keen supporter since she was in her early teens. Her sister Hannah will be selling a selection of treats.
Coffee, sponsored by Quentin Withall and Phillip Hartley, will be served, along with cakes and alcoholic drinks.
Live music will come from local performer Mac, and the mayor of Deal Cllr David Cronk will be there.
The raffle will have more than 100 prizes, including vouchers for meals and treatments. There will also be a spectacular hand-crafted patchwork quilt and cushions up for grabs.
Donations for the raffle can be made by calling Georgina on 07757 113503.

Refreshments will be on sale throughout the day.

A care company in Dover is inviting residents to dig deep at its first ever Macmillan Coffee Morning.
Inchwater Home Care will host the event from 10.30am to 2.30pm on Friday, September 29, at their new offices in Waterloo Crescent on Dover Seafront.
Employee Bridget Abercrombie said: “It’s the first time we’ve done this, and if it’s a success, we’ll be glad to do it again.
“At Inchwater, we work alongside Macmillan from time to time.
“It’s a very good cause and we know people are always keen to donate.
“None of us know if we or our family members will ever need their help.
“We also thought this is something that many of our clients can help with,” she added.
As well as a selection of cakes and hot drinks, there will also be a guess the weight of the cake game.
The address is 3 Waterloo Crescent, Dover. Free parking for one hour is available behind the office.
