A school has warned parents after one of its female students was "persistently" approached at a bus stop.
An online statement issued by Goodwin Academy in Deal says the incident occurred at about 3.20pm on Monday.
Two men, aged in their 40s, in a blue hatchback are said to have approached the girl on more than one occasion while she was waiting for a bus in Court Road.
The incident has been reported to police and all students have been reminded about the dangers of speaking to strangers.
The statement says: "We have been made aware by a parent of one of our students that there was an incident after school.
"At approx 3.20pm by the bus stop by Deal Vic Cricket Club (near the Salisbury Road old site) a blue hatchback car with two men in their 40s tried to get one of our female students in to their car.
"They were quite persistent and approached the student on more than one occasion in their car while she was waiting for the bus.
"This has been reported to the police. We have reminded all students of stranger danger and to report any concerns immediately to parents, us and the police if necessary.
"If you have any concerns please don’t hesitate to contact us."
Principal Simon Smith told Kent Online: “I have written to parents to advise them that there had been an incident whereby one of our students was asked to get into a car with a stranger.
"The school will continue to patrol outside the school at the end of the day, but we would advise that all children remain extra vigilant when they are walking home at the end of the day.
"The police are aware of the incident and I would ask that we are all vigilant and report any concerns immediately. As always the safeguarding of our students is of paramount importance to all of us at Goodwin Academy.”
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police is making enquiries into a report of two men approaching a teenage girl as she waited by the bus stop in Court Road, Walmer at around 3.25pm on Monday 15 January 2018.
"The two men, who were reportedly stood near a blue Hatchback-style car at the time, offered the girl a lift home. The girl declined before the two men got into the car and drove away."
