Dover slipped to defeat against Blue Square Bet South promotion rivals Woking at a wet Kingfield on Saturday afternoon.
The hosts flew out of the blocks and were ahead within five minutes when Whites keeper Mikhael Ruiz failed to clear his lines, punching a cross into a team-mate, allowing Moses Ademola to volley home.
Woking continued to pile forward and Ruiz was sent scrambling by a long-range drive, before Ademola caught Michael Corcoran in possession and curled a shot wide.
Billy Bricknell's flick and a Corcoran header went close as the visitors found their feet in the game. They eventually drew level on 37 minutes when Sam Cutler chipped a free-kick into the box and Bricknell beat the keeper, with Steve Watt on hand to slide the ball over the line with the aid of the crossbar.
The hosts started the second half strongly and Watt was needed at the other end for several blocks. However Dover had chances of their own and Bricknell lashed over before George Purcell somehow dragged a shot wide when clean through on goal.
Woking eventually restored their lead, after Shane Huke had blasted wide at the other end, when Paris Cowan-Hall capitalised on some slack defending nine minutes from time.
Five minutes later the game was up for Martin Hayes's (pictured) side when Jay Davies headed home from close range after a poor clearance from Ruiz.
