An elderly woman from Deal was found dead in the toilets at Cineworld on Ashford’s Eureka Park.

Audiences from the nine-screen cinema were evacuated following the incident.

The woman, who has not been named, was visiting the cinema with her daughter when she became ill.

A post-mortem revealed that death was due to natural causes and no inquest will be held.

Cineworld general manager Andy Grove, said:

"As soon as our staff were alerted to the incident, emergency services were contacted and arrived within minutes.

"We are doing everything we can to help the authorities while they investigate the cause of death."

The woman died on Wednesday, September 10.
