Reece Topping’s sunflower has grown so tall it can be seen by neighbours from the end of the road.
The seven-year-old brought the plant home from his school, Hornbeam Primary, in May when it was a seedling.
He took it to his nan Sheila Martin’s house in Curzon Close, Deal, where they planted it in her green house.
The youngster has continued to water and nurture it, and has watched it grow to an incredible 14ft tall.
Ms Martin said: “You can see it from the end of the close it’s that tall. He’s very proud of it.”
To top it off, the youngster is able to use his expert gardening skills to help him achieve his gardening activity badge at 5th Deal Sholden Beavers.
