Dream comes true for Stupples

KENT golfer Karen Stupples hit the best 72-hole score in LPGA Tour history to win her first tour title, the Welch's Fry Championship, by five strokes in Tuscon, Arizona.
The 30-year-old from Deal produced a stunning final round of 63 which left her with a 22-under par 258.
The former Walmer School pupil who is now based in Florida, said: "This is a dream come true. At the moment, I am finding it hard to even breathe, but all the hard work has paid off.
South Koreans Jung Yeon Lee and Grace Park shared second at 263, two strokes ahead of American Stacy Prammanasudh.
Stupples, who had never finished higher than a tie for third in five previous seasons on the US Tour, eagled the 13th hole with a 30-foot putt to pull away from her nearest rivals.
Laura Davies, Stupples' golfing idol, began the day one stroke off the pace in quest of her first LPGA title since 2001 but faded.
