Lydd’s FA Cup Preliminary Round tie with Deal was abandoned late in the second half due to injury.

A statement from Deal said: “Henry is up, has been conscious throughout and is stable, he’s in the back of the ambulance now and will be on route to hospital shortly. As you’d expect, the game has been abandoned.”

Lydd, who had beaten Faversham 4-1 at home in the league on Wednesday night, went ahead inside two minutes through Troy Howard. They doubled their advantage just before half-time through a Ronnie Dolan penalty.

A statement from Lydd said: “Unfortunately today’s FA Cup Preliminary Round fixture vs Deal Town was abandoned due to a heavy collision to the opposition goalkeeper Henry Newcombe.

“Everyone at Lydd Town FC, staff, players and fans, would like to wish Henry a very speedy recovery and hope he returns to the pitch soon.

“We are also aware that Henry was conscious throughout and was in a stable condition on his way to hospital to receive treatment.

“An update about the fixture/result will be posted as soon as we hear from the FA.”

The other all-Southern Counties East League tie saw Whitstable win 2-0 at VCD Athletic.

Josh Oliver gave Whitstable an early lead with Liam Gillies ensuring their progress seven minutes from time.

Faversham Town also progressed as they enjoyed victory on their first game at Salters Lane on the new 3G surface.

An own goal saw visitors Merstham go ahead but Jefferson Aibangbee levelled on the half-hour and Matt Parsons netted the winner straight after the restart.

Kennington boss Dan Scorer praised his team’s ability to collect clean sheets in midweek so he’d have been delighted with another shutout as they won 4-0 at Cobham.

Ryan Philpott gave Ton a first-half lead before three goals in the 16 minutes wrapped up the tie. James Haylock-Ashdown and Finlay Dent (2) completed the scoring.

Lordswood held Isthmian South East Cray Valley to a 1-1 draw at Martyn Grove.

A bright start by Lords was rewarded with James Jeffery’s 12th-minute goal but Kyrell Lisbie scored from close range following a Lyle Della-Verde free-kick just before the half-hour.

The teams will meet again on Tuesday night, as will Erith Town and Burgess Hill after a goalless draw on the road for the Dockers.

Another side who had to settle for a replay was Herne Bay who appeared on course to progress until a late equaliser at Bedfont Sports.

Bay led through Theo Osinfolarin’s penalty on the hour mark but Joe Smith levelled matters in the last minute.

Joe Taylor claimed a hat-trick as Ramsgate’s first start helped them see off Bexhill United.

Joe Ellul’s header and Taylor put them 2-0 ahead inside nine minutes, although Bexhill replied through James Stone on the stroke of half-time.

Taylor made it 3-1 with 10 minutes left and then tucked away a late penalty to complete his treble.

Second-half goals from Emmanuel Mensah, Kieran Cadogan and Palace Francis led Sevenoaks to a 3-0 win at home to Colliers Wood.

It was a scoreline repeated by Sheppey over Midhurst & Easebourne as Dan Bradshaw bagged a brace, Eddie Allsopp completed their tally.

With their new 3G pitch at Homelands still not completed, Ashford had to play their tie against Beckenham at Chatham.

An own goal put Ashford ahead but Anthony Adesite levelled before the break. Tom Carlse restored Ashford’s lead but George Goodwin and Dieko Falade hit back to send Beckenham through.

Hythe repeated last week’s league win over East Grinstead, this time collecting a 3-1 success on the road.

All the goals came in the second half with Johan Caney-Bryan scoring twice and Bradley Schafer also on target. Grinstead’s reply came through a Glenn Wilson penalty.

First-half goals from Finn O’Mara and a Chris Dickson penalty put Erith & Belvedere through against Stansfeld.

There were home defeats for Bearsted and Snodland. Bears went out 2-1 to Southall, who claimed a 90th-minute winner at Honey Lane. Ollie Freeman had equalised for the hosts in the second half.

Snodland were beaten 3-1 by Chertsey Town, Francis Babalola with their goal.

The draw for the FA Cup First Qualifying Round will take place on Monday lunchtime.
