Isthmian League round-up: Three wins out of four for Deal Town after late comeback victory at East Grinstead

Deal Town stunned hosts East Grinstead with a late comeback victory in Isthmian South East.

The Hoops led through Macca Murray’s 17th-minute penalty but quickly found themselves 2-1 down following goals from Matthew Daniel and Connor Dighe.

Ben Chapman levelled in the 90th minute and Tom Chapman struck in the first minute of added time as the visitors won 3-2 for a third win in four games since promotion.

The result sends Steve King’s side up to fourth place in the early league standings.

Sevenoaks suffered a heavy 5-0 home defeat as opponents Beckenham went top of the table.

Jamarie Brissett gave Town a half-time lead, with Mudiaga Wanogho, Louie Theophanous, Freddie Nyhus and Henry Griffin on target after the break.

Andrew Dythe scored the only goal in the 18th minute as Erith Town won 1-0 at Lancing to maintain their unbeaten record following promotion.

Phoenix Sports slipped to a third defeat in four games, losing 2-0 at home to Eastbourne Town.

James Ding broke the deadlock after 30 minutes and clinched victory with a penalty on the hour mark.
