Racing driver Toby Trice will participate in the debut season of Ginetta’s new racing series, the GT Academy.

The 15-race season takes place over five weekends at some of Britain’s most iconic tracks, including local circuit Brands Hatch.

Four of the 2021 race weekends feature on the British GT race calendar and one on the British Touring Car Championship calendar.

It’s a big step up for Deal racer Trice, who uses his racing to raise awareness for Fertility Network UK.

The prestige of this new series alongside VIP Ginetta Hospitality available for all the racing weekends were big deciding factors for Trice who is focused on giving the best experience to his sponsors at every race weekend.

The new Ginetta GT Academy cars are identical and this makes the grid very competitive, something that appealed to Trice as a racing driver.

Announcing his entrance into the 2021 Ginetta GT Academy line-up, Trice said: “I am hugely excited and extremely grateful to be back racing in 2021 after a strange and challenging 12 months for us all.

“I spent 2020 focussing on developing my brand and what we offer to our partners for the future, it put me in a strong position to compete again this year.

“Entering the Ginetta GT Academy is by no means an easy task, but one I am going to grasp with both hands. I plan on working incredibly hard to develop and craft my race skills this year, which should set me up with a solid foundation.”

Once again, Trice teams up with SVG Motorsport, who looked after him through his debut season in 2019.

Trice said: “It would be great to bring back some silverware for SVG, as they work very hard to give me the best machinery on track.

“As a team, we’ve been training very hard throughout the winter to be in the best shape possible for whatever challenges come our way”
