Deal Town completed their most comprehensive Bulmers Cider Kent League Premier Division victory of the season on Saturday, as they defeated Sporting Bengal 7-0 at Mile End Stadium.
Captain Dave Bathgate was the star of the show, grabbing a first-half hat-trick, to put the Charles Ground side well on their way to three points in front of a sparse east London crowd.
His first goal came after seven minutes when the midfielder found the net with a 25-yard free kick.
The second followed four minutes later from the penalty spot, before the treble was completed on 39 minutes with another long range strike.
The home side offered little resistance after the break either, as Danny Smith made it 4-0.
Another 20 minutes elapsed before striker Roy Godden converted Deal’s second penalty of the day, substitute Chris Wyles hit the sixth and Smith completed the rout with the seventh goal three minutes from time.
