A former Football League player from Kent has been named the new manager of Isthmian Premier Potters Bar.
The Deal-born ex-Leatherhead, Concord Rangers and Hemel Hempstead boss has been chosen to replace Lee O'Leary, who recently resigned.
The announcement was made on Saturday evening after their 7-0 loss at home to Folkestone.
Moore, 34, had two spells at Dover in his playing days and also turned out for Stevenage, Leyton Orient and AFC Wimbledon, who played against Liverpool in the FA Cup in 2015.
Potters Bar technical director Adam Waller told the club website: "The club wanted to show its intent for success and desire for attractive football. Sammy is the perfect fit.
"He has a clear pedigree for success and wants to win. We are a family club that do things right, something that attracted Sammy to the club.
"I can’t wait to start this new chapter in our history. We all welcome Sammy and his young family to the club."
On Twitter, Moore, who runs his own coaching business alongside Sheppey's Jack Midson called M&M Coaching, said: "Absolutely delighted to be back on the grass and in the dug-out.
"It’s my biggest challenge yet but one I’m looking forward to. It’s our job to guide the club to safety.
"It’s not gunna be easy but we are gunna do all we can and we are going to need everyone to stick together."
He spent two years at Dover between 2008 and 2010, before he re-joined the Crabble outfit in 2016 on loan. He's had a brief stint with Folkestone as well.
Moore’s first match in charge of Potters Bar is the visit of fellow strugglers Cray Wanderers tomorrow night.
Potters Bar are 19th in the table, seven points clear of basement boys Leatherhead.
They visit Haringey this weekend.
