The two crews lined-up against two Herne Bay crews and, from the start, both secured an early length lead. Coming into the turns, both Deal crews had a comfortable margin over Herne Bay.
The B crew then missed their turn, having to go for another turn just outside which cost them a few lengths.
That left the A crew of Will Dennis, Ben Smissen, Tyler Amos and Reece Mullaney, with cox Lois Mullaney, to finish with a comfortable lead while the B crew of Jason Morgan, Tom Barwell, Owen Mullaney and Reece Giles, with cox Sharron Mullaney, came second.
